Dear all,

it’s Friday again and we all deserve a break from the heat.

Before I head off to one of the nearby lakes, I’ll share one of our – not overly well-guarded – secret sources of meeting- and workshop structures with you:

Liberating Structures, a set of „methods“ by Henri Lipmanowicz and Keith McCandless, provide engaging and empowering means to find solutions to a team’s challenges. (My favourites include „W3”, „Making Space with Triz“, and „Agreement and Certainty Matrix“)

Not surprisingly, Liberating Structures are highly complementary to agile management. As Barry Overeem details in this Medium article, they are a valuable resource for Scrum Masters in particular.

(And, if you should find yourself in need to unblock that gridlocked meeting on the spot, there is even an app for iPhone and iPad to prop you up on the go.)

Time to liberate yourself from that laptop!
Have a great summer weekend.

Cheers,
Godehard
